One of three featured Realtors on season two of Bravo's "Million Dollar Listing," Chad Rogers jokes that the new season is going to feature mega millions and mega drama. While the young upstart my be just barely over 30 (and looks like he's still in high school), Rogers is a major player in the Los Angeles real estate market, working as a broker at Hilton & Hyland.
I first got the call about doing the show when I was on vacation with my girlfriend in Hawaii," explains the Realtor to such stars as Paris Hilton, Nick Lachey and Minnie Driver. "It was overwhelming, but really exciting. They found me through word of mouth. At first, as with anything, it was strange to have a film crew following you around, but you get used to it pretty quickly."
Rogers, who got his real estate license at the age of 18 (and later earned a degree in Business with a minor in Finance), believes the key to his career success is giving his clients what they want. "These are big deals, and this is big business, so you have to have your clients believe in you and know that you have their back," he says. "The single most important thing is ethics. If I don't feel a property is right for my client, I'm going to be upfront and honest about it."
However, Rogers is passionate about real estate and admits he still gets a rush when the gates open to a fabulous new estate that he's working to sell, which explains the appeal of "Million Dollar Listing." "I love what I do," he says enthusiastically. "Sometimes I feel like I'm a matchmaker - matching buyers and sellers."
As for the future, Rogers says he doesn't believe his TV presence will change his upcoming goals. "I'd love to write a book and maybe do something on radio, but I wouldn't change my career, because I've worked very hard to get where I am."
